Adam Sandler makes rare comment about his wife Jackie to celebrate 20th birthday: 'My heart has been yours since the first second'
"Happy 20th my sweet Jackie! Your 'yes' has been the greatest gift of
my life," the 56-year-old Happy Gilmore star wrote on Instagram, alongside
a sweet photo of herself- same and of his longtime love on their wedding
day." My heart has been with you since the first second I saw you and I
love and appreciate your devoted soul more and more each day. We. Children.
Let's go on and on, baby lots of love to you Always."
Meanwhile, Nick Swardson, who starred alongside Adam in movies like 'Just
Go With It' and 'Jack and Jill', couldn't help but poke fun at his longtime
friend. "When you said 'I saba doo' everyone cried, congratulations. I
love you both Jacky is amazing. you stink sometimes Blessings," he joked.
The happy couple first met in 1999 on the set of Big Daddy. Immediately
sparked, the two got engaged in 2002 and married less than a year later. In
2006 and 2008 they had daughters Sadie and Sunnie.
"You know what was funny? When my kid was born, I was so nervous I
didn't know how I felt," Adam told Access Hollywood in June 2006.
"Five minutes later, maybe ten minutes later me and the kid and a nurse
were there we went downstairs alone just to check the vitals and stuff and I
had a chemical reaction in my body that I loved the kid so much and I was so
nervous about him and that's when I lost my mind.
Over the years, the duo has worked together on several projects, from 50
First Dates to Grown Ups. Adam has spent most of his decades-long career,
however, fronting some of Hollywood's leading ladies, including Drew Barrymore
and Jennifer Aniston. Despite romantic interest from various A-list starlets,
the Billy Madison star told W Magazine that jealousy is never a problem.
"I'm never into romantic scenes, but my wife likes the women I work
with," Adam told the outlet in January 2020. "She always says, 'Come
on, make sure you kiss the best that you can. ""
The following year, the actor revealed that Jackie and Aniston, 54, were
"having a great time as a team" trying to make him a "healthier
human being".
"Like, they want me to stretch more — [to] possibly be able to touch
my toes, which I'm about 9 inches away from," he joked to The Hollywood
Reporter in 2021.
In March, Jackie proved why she and the comedian were doing so well when
she gave a rousing speech in Washington, D.C. after Adam received the Mark
Twain Prize for American Humor.
